Mynewsdesk sponsors digital PR award

PRESS RELEASE

London, 8 August, 2011 - The PRCA is pleased to announce that Mynewsdesk will be sponsoring the Digital and New Media Award at the 2011 PRCA Awards.

Heidi Noemm, Mynewsdesk’s UK Manager, said: “This award is for the campaign that most effectively uses digital or social media to reach its target audience. That is what Mynewsdesk is all about – connecting news and content with journalists, influencers and the wider world – so sponsoring this award is a perfect fit for us. This being said we are very excited to be sponsoring the ‘Oscars of the PR Industry’.”

Mynewsdesk’s unique and easy-to-use digital PR platform launches in the UK this September, having already taken Scandinavia by storm, with nearly 24,000 companies using it, and over 3,600 social media newsrooms live.

Heidi Noemm said: “I’m really looking forward to these awards, and seeing the best of the UK PR industry. The UK is the second biggest PR market in the world, and we want to make Mynewsdesk an integral part of the PR ecosystem over here.”

“We have already established a good base of UK newsrooms, even before our official launch this September. Our new clients in the UK see the uniqueness of the tool and the service and they are recommending us to their peers already. Mynewsdesk is very proud of its 97% customer satisfaction rate, and we want to maintain that in the UK.”

“Our goal is to get companies and organisations from all industry sectors who are looking for an efficient PR tool to start using the Mynewsdesk publishing hub, and journalists and media to use the monitoring tool to find the information and content they need.”

“We are bringing a great new product to a fantastic market. Our employees are all pioneers and web enthusiasts who are passionate about digital PR and comms. We hope to meet many like minds at the PRCA awards!”

About the PRCA

Who we are: Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams and PR freelancers.  The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.

How we do it and make a difference: All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry's behalf e.g. fighting the NLA's digital licence.

Who we represent: The PRCA represents many of the major consultancies in the UK, and currently has more than 230 agency members from around the world including the majority of the top 100 UK consultancies. We also represent around 60 in-house communications teams from multinationals, UK charities and leading UK public sector organisations
