PRCA announces Precise Evaluation Award

London, 22 August, 2011 - The PRCA today announced the Precise Evaluation Award, to be presented for the first time at the PRCA Awards 2011.

The new category, supported by PRCA media intelligence partner, Precise will be open to any entry that has already been submitted to the PRCA Awards and will cost £30 to enter. The Award will be judged by representatives from Precise, AMEC (the Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications), the PRCA and industry representatives.

The entry deadline for those wishing to put their entry forward for this new category is 2 September and the shortlist will be announced on 21 September at the same time as the other categories. Entries will be judged on the outcomes of the campaign.

Barry Leggetter, FPRCA, Executive Director, the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) said “This is a great idea from the PRCA. It is also very smart. If you are confident enough about the quality of your submission to enter in the first place, you must be confident about your evaluation. PRCA has been a consistent campaigner for its members to embrace evaluation and AMEC welcomes this new initiative.”

About the PRCA

Who we are: Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams and PR freelancers.  The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.
