PRCA and IVCA announce alliance
PRESS RELEASE
From today, members of both the PRCA and IVCA will automatically gain access to a number of the other professional body's services. Further services provided by each organisation will be available for a small membership subscription.
Francis Ingham, PRCA Chief Executive commented “While our membership growth continues at an impressive rate, alliances with likeminded organisations provide us with the opportunity to represent the industry better. We will never lose focus on the core value we deliver but will look to supplement it by collaborating with other associations where the relationship will benefit both parties.”
Marco Forgione, Chief Executive of the IVCA said “This alliance between the IVCA and the PRCA highlights a fundamental shift that has occurred within the communication industry as members are increasingly interested in gaining a wider knowledge and understanding of the full remit of disciplines that constitute the industry. This agreement between the two associations is a real opportunity for us to meet the needs of our members and increase the services and benefits we offer to both the members and clients of both body's.”

About the PRCA
Who we are:
Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams and PR freelancers. The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.
What we do:
The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.
How we do it and make a difference:
All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry's behalf e.g. fighting the NLA's digital licence.
Who we represent:
The PRCA represents many of the major consultancies in the UK, and currently has 197 agency members from around the world including the majority of the top 100 UK consultancies. Having launched in-house membership last year it also represents 31 in-house teams including many of Europe's leading corporations and UK public sector organisations.
