The PRCA exists to uphold standards in the public relations and communications industry. Therefore all members are automatically subscribed to the Codes of Conduct and Professional Charter and upholding the rules and standards set out are a continuous condition of membership to the PRCA.

The PRCA roster details member agencies' clients, any employees who hold public office and the names of the companies' directors/partners. The most recent version was published in 2009. The next edition will be published in 2011.
