Consultancies joining the PRCA at one a week

PRESS RELEASE

During the first six months of 2008, 26 new members joined the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association). The previous record during a twelve month period is believed to be 22.

Francis Ingham, PRCA Director General said “The PRCA has never had a more important role to play and the increasing number of members reflect both the Association's relevance and the improvements that we are making to the PRCA.

“It is a crowded market out there and the PRCA is able to help members compete more effectively. We provide tools that help companies reduce their costs and understand where they could be more competitive. We also represent our members with government and with the client community both in the UK and abroad.

“Over the next six months, we will be focusing on increasing the number of clients using our impartial search and selection service to find a PR consultancy. The service is unique in that we will only recommend consultancies which have achieved the internationally adopted Consultancy Management Standard (CMS).”

Dougal Paver of Paver Smith said “We are looking to grow our business and the PRCA offers us a range of tools that will contribute to this. The benchmarking survey, CMS, standard contracts, discounts with suppliers, networking opportunities and their lead generation service will all help us to achieve our potential.”
