PRCA grows offering globally through a Training partnership with ICCO

London, 4 February 2011 - Continuing to grow its offering globally, the PRCA today announced it will be extending its highly-rated online PR Training to an international audience  of 28 countries through a partnership with ICCO, the International Communications Consultancy Organisation.

Using the PRCA's existing training platform as a base, ICCO has selected courses relevant to an international audience and priced these to be attractive at local market conditions.

“The problem we are seeing in many of our member countries, especially those with a less developed public relations market, is that there simply aren't enough good training options for consultancies,” said ICCO President Richard Houghton. “We feel that the PRCA programme is extremely well suited to meet the demand and have adjusted prices to make it accessible to any organisation wanting to enhance the PR skills of its professionals.”

Courses start February 1st and are available as live webinars or recorded sessions. Participants in the live sessions are able to interact with the trainers and respond to other attendees, making the experience highly engaging.

PRCA Chief Executive Francis Ingham commented: "Our ambitions are truly global. This training partnership will give us a presence in 28 countries around the world. It emphasises once again London's role as a global PR hub, and the PRCA's role as the UK's leading PR professional body."

The full programme, including course dates and times, is outlined in the ICCO-PRCA marketing brochure, which is available on the ICCO website.

About the PRCA

Who we are:
Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams and PR freelancers.  The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.

What we do:
The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.

How we do it and make a difference:
All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry's behalf e.g. fighting the NLA's digital licence.

Who we represent:
The PRCA represents many of the major consultancies in the UK, and currently has more than 200 agency members from around the world including the majority of the top 100 UK consultancies. Having launched in-house membership last year it also represents over 50 in-house teams including many of Europe's leading corporations and UK public sector organisations.
