PRCA opens for business in the Middle East
PRESS RELEASE
London, 24 January 2011 - The PRCA today announced its latest international partnership, making its training available for the first time in the Middle East.
Through a strategic, medium-term link up with Emirates Consulting and Media Services, PRCA face-to-face training will be made available in the UAE and a range of other Gulf states.
Under the terms of the deal, the PRCA and Emirates Consulting and Media Services, will become exclusive training partners in the Middle East, with the PRCA providing trainers, training courses, and Emirates Consulting and Media Services delivering logistical support and regional marketing.
Francis Ingham, PRCA Chief Executive, commented:
“We are determined to grow the PRCA's offering globally, and this strategic partnership will give us a powerful presence in one of the world's undoubted growth regions, the Middle East.
This is very much a win-win for all concerned. We will guarantee the calibre of trainers through our accredited trainer procedures, while PRCA and Emirates Consulting and Media Services will market on a cross regional basis, and provide local logistical knowledge. Equally, Middle Eastern PR professionals will now have access to the very latest PR thinking, provided through the UK's very best trainers.
We have plans to replicate this kind of arrangement in every mature PR market. It's a great example of the PRCA flying the flag for the UK PR industry.”

About the PRCA
Who we are:
Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams and PR freelancers. The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.
What we do:
The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.
How we do it and make a difference:
All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry's behalf e.g. fighting the NLA's digital licence.
The PRCA represents many of the major consultancies in the UK, and currently has more than 200 agency members from around the world including the majority of the top 100 UK consultancies. Having launched in-house membership last year it also represents over 50 in-house teams including many of Europe's leading corporations and UK public sector organisations.
