Cleveland agency DTW joins the PRCA
London, 6 February 2013 - Leading northern PR and marketing company DTW has joined the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), pointing to the demonstration of professionalism that it brings.
DTW, which is a full service PR and marketing agency that specialises in working in the education, transport, waste, environment and energy fields for both public and private sector clients, employs 15 people at its base in Guisborough in Cleveland.
Chris Taylor, Managing Director of DTW, said: “What appeals to us about the PRCA is the bespoke Consultancy Management Standard, which is now accepted in 17 countries around the world.
“We are a full service agency and have creative and experienced staff who work across the disciplines of PR and marketing. It is important for us to be able to demonstrate the value of the professionalism that we bring to our clients, and this will help us do that.”
The PRCA was set up in 1969 and its members now represent 70 per cent of fee income for UK PR consultancies.
The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.
Francis Ingham, Director General of the PRCA said: “I’m very pleased to be welcoming such a major player in the north east PR industry, and I feel sure that the PRCA will help DTW to demonstrate their excellent work.”

About the PRCA
Who we are: Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams, PR freelancers and individuals. The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.
What we do: The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.
How we do it and make a difference: All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry's behalf e.g. fighting the NLA's digital licence.
Who we represent: The PRCA represents many of the major consultancies in the UK, and currently has more than 250 agency members from around the world, including the majority of the top 100 UK consultancies. We also represent over 70 in-house communications teams from multinationals, UK charities and leading UK public sector organisations.
