In-House Membership

For over 40 years the PRCA has represented the UK's best PR agencies.

In June 2009 the Board of Management felt that the difference between consultancy and in-house practice was so insignificant and that there was much that could be learned from one another, that the industry would be stronger if we worked together.

We are delighted to now welcome leading in-house teams from a wide range of sectors to the Association and it has been our fastest growing area of membership.

We have been joined by businesses of all sizes, including the likes of Fremantle, and Visa, to name just a few. We have also welcomed organisations such as Kings College London and the Law Society as well as local authorities and other public sector bodies.

The services and benefits we provide are focussed on saving money for your communications activities, promoting best practice and creating networking opportunities.

10 great reasons why your In-House Communications Team
should join the PRCA:

  1. Opportunities for senior personnel to enhance their personal and organisational profile via leadership panels, master class delivery and our awards.
  2. Access to the latest market intelligence through our quarterly trends barometer and our annual Benchmarking Survey.
  3. Tools to demonstrate the value of communications activities to the business.
  4. Access to the best industry services at competitive rates and bespoke supplier discounts.
  5. A range of lifestyle services and products for individuals at preferential rates (only available on request, or accessed through the member area).
  6. Benchmarking against similar organisations' activities, be that delivery, income generated, cost of staff, events etc. Useful for planning and demonstrating to other businesses what your company is delivering.
  7. Networking events for both senior and junior staff. We hold regular events so that leaders in the industry get together, share ideas and best practice, and make connections; generally and by sector. You can see our full programme here.
  8. Discounts on advertising your vacancies through PRCAJobs powered by PRWeek.
  9. Communcations Management Standard (CMS) is the PR industry gold standard and by attaining it your communcations team will stand out from the crowd and will become a more efficient, better run business.
  10. Commitment to best practice through our codes of conduct.

Membership applies to the entire organisation, and whilst focussed on communications activities it is not limited to those solely in that area.
