PRCA broadens services with new appointments

London, Thursday 5 May 2011 - Building on its growth of the past few years, the PRCA today welcomed two new members of staff to enable it to further raise the quality and range of services it offers.

Tom Hawkins has joined in the role of research and policy executive. He will further develop the PRCA's industry intelligence offering, develop a suite of best practice and guidance papers, and support the organisation's lobbying activities as the PRCA prepares to be more vocal on behalf of its members.

Alice Chadwick-Jones will help administer the PRCA's training programme, which has seen the range of online and face-to-face courses triple in the last two years.

The newly created roles will bolster the Communications and Training areas of the PRCA. Tom will work on delivering industry-leading insight, trends and policy initiatives and Alice will help to respond to the rapid growth in PRCA Training and Qualifications, particularly with the success of its online training which the body launched in 2009.

Francis Ingham, chief executive of the PRCA, said:
"We are expanding our team in line with our membership growth. Tom and Alice will see us deliver another step change in the benefits of PRCA membership.”

About the PRCA

Who we are:
Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams and PR freelancers.  The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.

What we do: The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.

How we do it and make a difference: All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. We also represent around 60 in-house communications teams from multinationals, UK charities and leading UK public sector organisations
