Active for over a decade, the PRCA Public Affairs (PA) Group was re-launched in 2008. With over 25 members, the group represents PRCA member agencies active in PA – promoting the sector to both current and potential PR and PA practitioners, as well as to the wider world.
Activities and discussions range from questions of self-regulation and ethics, to training, professionalism and engagement with future talent PA Group firms, their staff and non-executive consultants, agree to abide by a strict Code of Conduct, to ensure openness and transparency and honesty in their dealings with the institutions of government (see PRCA Public Affairs Code). As a condition of PRCA and PA Group membership, all member firms must undertake an annual compliance procedure in respect of the Code, agree to be bound by the terms of the PRCA Professional Charter, and provide quarterly to the online PRCA PA Register the names of all clients and consulting staff involved in PA activity. For the latest register, see PRCA Public Affairs Register.
