About PRCA Qualifications

Following calls from the membership since September 2009 the PRCA is introducing professional qualifications. They have been designed to formalize a training programme to help give you and your staff a clear and structured development programme no matter what their current level within the organization.

The programme has been put together by our qualifications board to top level PR professionals including co- chairs, Jonathan Jordan (Sermelo) and Dick Fedorcio (Metropolitan Police, Trevor Morris (University of Westminster), Alex Aiken (Westminster City Council) Penny Porter (Bray Leino) and Francis Ingham (PRCA).

The board are in place to ensure that the qualifications are of the highest standard possible and remain highly business focused.

PRCA Foundation Course
This is designed to ensure that all new starts are trained in the core principles of PR, allowing them to be an effective member of the team.

PRCA Online Certificate 
The PRCA Online Certificate is aimed at intermediate level practitioners looking to progress their careers through a wide range of bite size courses. The PRCA Online Certificate will give ambitious PRs the all-round skills to be an effective member of the team and take on the challenges to progress to a senior PR management role.

PRCA Advanced Certificate
This is designed for those who already have a good grounding in PR and are looking to advanced their career in a structured and formal manner, creating a highly effective PR practitioner.

PRCA Diploma
This is designed for those already at management level, providing them with the skills to lead their organizations more effectively and ensuring they are familiar with the latest management practices.

The clients listed in this section are those which retain a consultancy on a continuing basis to deal with their public relations either in a specialised area or as a whole. One asterisk (*) against a client's name indicates that the consultancy has been retained by that client for three years; two asterisks (**) indicate that it has been retained for at least five years. Clients served on an ad-hoc basis are listed separately.
