China's sustained growth and economic impact continues to attract businesses and create opportunities for companies in many sectors, despite the acknowledgement that the Chinese economy is slowing down to a 6.7% growth rate.

Richard Brubaker of the China-Europe International Business School in Shanghai contests "but consider the fact that they've doubled the size of the economy in the past fifteen years. It's still going the same speed. ...the only thing is that there is more mass, but the numbers are just as large as they ever were.

According to Forbes, "In 2006, China's nominal GDP was $2.7 trillion. Ten years later it's approaching $11 trillion. China's economy is still growing fast; last year alone it grew by more than the total economy of Sweden. China's year-on-year GDP growth rate is still 6.7%. No matter how you frame it, 6.7% of the world's second largest economy in yearly growth is still rampant."

ACTIVE Anglo Chinese Communications, a business and PR consultancy working specifically within the space on the UK-China business community in both countries, will be running a series of bi-monthly breakfast briefings in Central London providing an up-to-date insight into the political, economic and social/cultural influences that matter.
