Event Overview
From supermarket food waste to sustainably sourced fish, renewable energy to palm oil, issues that impact society and the environment are constantly in the news. Sustainability-related issues are firmly mainstream and PR professionals are increasingly being recognised as part of the solution to tackling the issues, rather than just those who tidy up after a crisis. Initiatives that bring together skills and perspectives from different sectors to tackle the 'big issues' are increasingly common - and valuable. This event will bring together experts from the PR, business and public sectors to put a collaborative, partnership-focused approach to practical use. We'll set the scene by hearing from speakers with experience running effective projects that have brought together powerful partnerships to take on a big issue. We'll then split into small project teams to work on a partner-based solution to a specific scenario. This event will take place in both Edinburgh and London, drawing on the unique mix of sectors, expertise and context in both places, and a brief synopsis of both events will be produced afterwards.
Speakers:
- Adam Purvis, Director of Power of Youth
- Morag Garden, Head of Sustainability and Innovation for the Scotch Whisky Association
