Event Overview

The purpose of the Government Communications Service (GCS) is to deliver world class public service communications. We do this by giving our members the professional standards, guidance, tools and examples of best practice (from government and industry) that they use working across strategic communications, media and campaigns, internal communications and strategic engagement.

Since we started this journey of continuous improvement we have introduced over 20 new innovations that have become our standard operating model for GCS.

We are delighted to be completing the latest phase of reforms in Spring, with new developments in areas that include, how government manages its public service campaigns most efficiently, such as teacher or armed forces recruitment campaigns; or what constitutes a modern media operation; as well as fresh improvements to GCS' professional development offer and our internal communications strategy for engaging GCS members so they are proud to work in government communications.

This is one in a series of events across the UK regions and nations, by GCS in collaboration with PRCA. It is a fantastic opportunity to share GCS innovations with PRCA members, as critical friends, to share views from your own sectors in communications.

The GCS and PRCA very much look forward to meeting you at one of these events.
