Join the PRCA for a morning of insight as we get stuck into a discussion about the state of the current and future media landscape and the news. This half day conference is designed to provide delegates with discussion, debate and insight into future developments within our industry.

The morning will be broken into two halves. First, a look into the the changing face of the media. Secondly, practical insights into how to build relationships with, and sell in stories to, the media in these turbulent times.

Event Overview

David Cracknell, Consultant and former Political Editor, The Sunday Times, will give an overview of the current media landscape and insights into the changes that are in store over the coming year.

This will be followed by a panel, chaired by David Cracknell, looking at the Future of the Media, featuring:

  • Niall Duffy, Director of External Affairs, IPSO
  • Jonathan Heawood, Chief Executive Officer, IMPRESS
  • Minna Salami, writer, blogger and commentator
  • Neil Wallis, former tabloid newspaper editor

Chris Lee MPRCA, Content and Media Director, Mash PR, will give a practical presentation looking into the process of selling in stories to the media during these turbulent times.

This will be followed by a panel discussion on building PR and press relationships, chaired by Chris Lee, and featuring:

  • Tamara Bennett, Head of Media Relations, Virgin Management
  • Jo Carr MPRCA, Managing Partner, Hope&Glory
  • Julian Fisher MPRCA, Director of Media Output, markettiers
  • Dan Miller, Senior Vice President, Communications, EMEA, VICE Media
