Summary:

Creativity is vital to the future of the PR industry, but with deadlines to meet and an ever growing inbox, it more often than not takes a back seat.
Following the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, PRCA’s NextGen Scotland Group has brought together the country’s finest creative minds to discuss creativity, how to go about it and what could give you the edge. They’ll also give you some pointers on how to go about entering next year’s Cannes Lions contest.

Event Type: Group Event

Address: Trades Hall, 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow, G1 1UH

Event Overview

This panel event will be chaired by Sarah Mooney, account manager at Big Partnership and chair of NextGen Scotland.

The panel will be made up of:

Colin Byrne - Chief Executive Officer, Weber Shandwick UK & EMEA

With 30 years of experience behind him, Colin is one of the UK’s leading PR and public affairs practitioners, having worked on campaigns at both a domestic and international level. Colin has been a judge for many of the key industry award programmes including Cannes Lions and he was chair of the PR jury at Eurobest in 2013. For eight years in a row he appeared in GQ’s annual “100 Most Influential Men in Britain” ranking and has appeared on BBC TV’s ‘Question Time’.

Andrew Ferguson - Creative Director, Grayling UK

A Scot born and bred, Andrew has recently been appointed Grayling’s creative director. Andrew has been involved in a multitude of award-winning campaigns. Notably he saw the much-awarded Unity through a period of intense growth with a slew of innovative, visually arresting projects for Hyundai, Pernod Ricard and, of course, Marks & Spencer.

A third speaker will be announced closer to the time.

Please feel free to pass onto other colleagues from entry level account executives to senior account managers.
