About Jo


Joining 3 Monkeys Zeno in October 2020 as Managing Director, Jo is a brand and FMCG communications specialist with more than 25 years industry experience.
An award winning PR practitioner, she’s held positions in some of the UK’s leading agencies including Edelman, The RED Consultancy and Porter Novelli, as well as working in-house for Guinness.
Prior to 3 Monkeys Zeno, Jo was MD of Porter Novelli London, part of Omnicom, where she led four practice areas specialising in brand, health, corporate reputation and technology, representing clients as far ranging as GSK, Clarks, Mars and UPS. With a love of new business, Jo was instrumental in many of the agency’s pitch wins including Nivea, Glenfiddich, the Royal Mint, Morrisons and Johnson & Johnson. Prior to the MD role Jo led Porter’s Strategic Services team, building the agency’s planning, creative, analytics and content capability. Before this she headed the Brand Practice, with responsibility for UK, EMEA and global clients including HP and P&G.
During her ten year tenure at PN Jo was part of a senior leadership team that drove sustained growth, forged strategic partnerships with organisations including One Young World, Valuable 500 and the CBI and gained industry recognition including the PRCA’s International Agency of the Year.
Prior to Porter she was a Board Director at RED, leading integrated campaigns for brands including Amazon, SMA Nutrition, Johnnie Walker and Yellow Pages. Previous roles saw her collaborate with clients such as Nestle, Weight Watchers and Miller Brewing.
A firm believer in the power of creativity rooted in strategic rigour, Jo currently features in PR Week’s 2020 Power Book, is a PRCA board member and an alumnus of Omnicom University, the industry’s leading executive management programme delivered by Harvard Business School.
She has a degree from Cambridge University.
Away from work Jo can often be found frequenting the commons of south West London with her family. She’s also currently learning to ride a motorbike.
