About University Of Lincoln

The University of Lincoln is a UK higher education institution. It has around 11,000 students and 1,300 staff with campuses in central Lincoln, Riseholme, Holbeach and Hull. Capital investment over the last decade has exceeded £140 million and a dynamic build programme continues to add to this investment.

The University has climbed more than 50 places in The Times Good University Guide in the past four years and has seen similar progress in other national university rankings.

Lincoln secured an increase in national research funding of more than 620% following the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) when more than two thirds of its submitted research was recognised as having world-leading elements. It receives funding from major research councils and charities as well as the European FP7 funds and industry funds for research.

The University was awarded the highest possible rating in its last two Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) inspections.

Students rated Lincoln's courses in the top quarter in the UK for student satisfaction in the 2012 National Student Survey, with Accounting ranked number one overall.

The employment prospects of Lincoln graduates are among the best in the country, according to the 2012 Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, with 92% of Lincoln's 2011 graduates in work or further study six months after finishing their degree and 67% in graduate level roles.
