Remembering PRCA Director General Francis Ingham

 Francis Ingham

On 16th March 2023, our Director General Francis Ingham passed away after a short illness. Francis was one of the PR industry’s most steadfast voices over the years. His loss is incalculable, and our thoughts are with Francis’ friends and family during this time.

Colleagues and friends from across the global PR industry have continued to share their personal and professional reflections across trade publications and personal blogs. As we get through this difficult time, we've decided to create a hub where you can find all the latest obituaries, important news regarding arrangements to celebrate and honour Francis' life, and an online condolence book for you to share memories and tributes.

Have we missed a piece on Francis that you think should be shared on this page? All members are welcome to email with the article link.

Online Condolence Book

We invite friends, colleagues and members of the PR and communications community to share their memories and tributes in this special online condolence book

Memorial Service

We remember Francis Ingham, who passed away on 16 March 2023. Francis was deeply dedicated to the potential of public relations. He led the PRCA from 2007, and as a result of his relentless drive and vision, the Association quickly grew to be the world's largest professional PR body. He leaves a lasting legacy in the strength and reputation of the PRCA as it stands today and will be remembered as a pivotal figure in our industry.

We invite friends, colleagues, and members of the PR and communications community to his memorial service on Monday 10th July at 11.30 at St. Bartholomew’s The Great, West Smithfield, London, to be followed by drinks at a nearby venue. Places are limited and attendees must register in advance. There will also be a live stream of the service for those unable to attend in person.

To register to attend the event in person or for the live stream please email as places are limited.
