PRCA Diversity Group: Diversity and legality event

Event Overview

The PRCA Diversity Group launched in April 2017, to re-energise the discussion around diversity. Its mission is to develop solutions and provide advice on how the industry can work to ensure that diversity is top of a business' agenda.

This event is the first step. There will be a focus on how to equip employees and employers with the knowledge to help them build a more diverse workforce and to help employers protect themselves.

The event is meant to be an overview of several important issues that can impact an organisation’s ability to create a diverse workforce. It will also cover employees’ personnel reasonability and employer liability.

Attendees will learn the following:

• The groups that are protected by discrimination law
• The different types of discrimination and harassment
• What can happen if you get things wrong
• Examples of inappropriate behaviour around the workplace
• What to do if you witness discrimination or harassment

This event is worth 15 points in the PRCA CPD Scheme.
