Event Overview

Between them, creative agencies Wire and Clarion Edinburgh notched up five award wins at this year’s PRCA Awards.  During this NextGen Campaign Masterclass, you’ll get the full walkthrough on how the teams behind the entries orchestrated their success.
Wire’s co-founder and creative director Pam Scobbie will discuss the agency’s creative work which helped the team pick up a hat trick of awards in the Consumer Relations, Campaign Challenges, and Digital & Social Campaign of the Year categories at the 2018 DARE Awards.
Over at Clarion, it was a two for one deal for the Not so (N)ice Lollies campaign – scoring the team wins in the Event, Launch or Stunt of the Year and Low Budget Campaign Award categories for their client, The Edinburgh Dungeon. Senior account director Lynne Hughes will share how Clarion took this campaign straight to the door of the media, gaining widespread coverage.

This evening event will be a masterclass in thinking creatively, helping you pick up some top campaign planning tips and a lesson in how to evaluate and pitch your work to industry awards.

Pam Scobbie, Creative Director at Wire
Pam is the co-founder and Creative Director at Wire overseeing the creative strategy for every brief and mentoring the creative team.
She kick-started her career working with some of the country’s biggest and most creative brands, including Barr’s Soft Drinks, Balblair Whisky and Tennent’s Lager. She spent seven years developing and implementing exciting, award-winning strategies for these clients before launching Wire. Named the PRCA’s Industry Leader of the Year 2016, Pam makes sure all work that leaves the agency is unforgettable.

Lynne Hughes, Senior Account Director at Clarion
Lynne Hughes heads up Clarion Communications Scotland office, and has worked in a variety of agency and client-side roles in Scotland for almost 20 years. Agency-wise, she has supported some major brands and events over the years including IRN-BRU, Vimto Soft Drinks, the Great Scottish Run and Women’s 10k and more recently the Scottish Government on their international marketing and Road Safety Scotland briefs.
A nine-year spell on the former Strathclyde Police news desk also saw her involved in some of the country’s most high-profile incidents including the 2007 Glasgow Airport terrorist attack and Operation Anagram, the successful incarceration of serial killer Peter Tobin.
As Senior Account Director at Clarion Communications, she drives the company’s newly opened Scotland office, working on a mix of consumer and corporate accounts including The Edinburgh Dungeon, visitor attraction Maid of the Loch and Ugo Foods Group.

This event is worth 15 points in the PRCA CPD programme.
