Gender Pay Gap Reporting 2019: measuring progress and how organisations can best communicate around headline figures

Date

Time

08:30

Location

London

Details

Summary:

The countdown to 2019’s Gender Pay Gap reporting has begun and many businesses will find themselves in the spotlight if they are failing to show progress on tackling headline figures. Not only is there a risk of lasting damage to corporate reputations but releasing less than successful results will not be an easy task to communicate to internal and external audiences. The pressure will be on for corporates to communicate change and better results year on year.

Event Type: Member Event

Address: Lansons, 24a St John Street, London, EC1M 4AY

Event Overview

The event will also reveal findings from employees around the gender pay gap exclusively commissioned with Opinium Research. The results will highlight:

  • How people feel their employers are trying to tackle the gender pay gap - is it a two-way conversation and are employees’ opinions are being heard?
  • Have the gender pay gap 2018 report findings impacted how people feel about where they work?
  • Are the gender equality initiatives working in a meaningful way, or do employers feel that reporting hasn’t been coupled with effective action? Do men feel alienated? Do some women feel alienated?
  • What do people expect to see in the 2019 reporting, and where do they want to see most progress?

The event will be chaired by Lisa Carr MPRCA, Director and Partner, Lansons. Our panel of experts includes:

  • Chloe Chambraud, Gender Equality Director, Business in the Community
  • Bibi Hilton CMPRCA, President, Women in PR
  • Sue Carter, Founder, Ashlone Consulting
  • Michelle Gyimah, Director, Equality Pays, Gender Pay Gap Consultant
