PRCA LGBTQ+ Group event: Endurance - Charlie Martin and her longest drive yet

Event Overview

Join as we relaunch the PRCA’s LGBTQ+ group with special guest speaker, racing driver and transgender trailblazer, Charlie Martin. Charlie’s story is one of tenacity, inner strength and endurance, which she uses both to stay true to herself, and to also effect lasting change by promoting inclusivity in the world as a whole.

The first of a four-part speaker series hosted by the PRCA in 2019, these talks aim to inspire thought and action. We want to tackle the stigma and challenges faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community working within the PR and communications industry head on by bringing the conversation to a wider audience as we champion inclusivity, acceptance and accurate representation.

The out-take should be that alongside the many things that make Charlie unique and special, it’s her tenacity that we can all learn from whether we’re part of the LBGTQ+ community. We should espouse this endurance as we seek to make an active difference. Critically, yes we need to believe, but we also need to act, because many voices make light work.
