Event Overview

This timely panel event – coming the week before the new Conservative leader, and UK Prime Minister, is due to be announced – aims to tackle one of the biggest issues in public affairs, lobbying, and campaigning.

With the Brexit process ongoing, how much of a domestic agenda is there? How do we influence it? What can we learn from recent, successful campaigning? And does this leadership election put domestic policy back in the public eye?

Senior speakers will share their experience and insights on successful lobbying and advise delegates on how to achieve reforms and campaigning victories when it looks to many like Brexit has eclipsed and overridden the usual policymaking process and rules of engagement.

Speakers include Mario Creatura, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on digital communications, 10 Downing Street, John O’Connell, Chief Executive, TaxPayers’ Alliance, Matt Kilcoyne, Head of Communications, Adam Smith Institute, and Emma Dean, Associate Director, Hanover Communications, with more to be announced.

The event is held under the Chatham House Rule.

This event is worth 15 points in the PRCA CPD Programme.
