Event Overview

Ever wondered why ’Our NHS’ has managed to create such public resonance?  Or why, despite spending a similar amount on R&D as Apple and Google, that pharmaceutical companies still struggle to attract the same interest and loyalty?  A lot of it is down to how they tell their story

The concept of storytelling has become an important communications tool for organisations as they attempt to build trust among their audiences by better communicating what they do and, arguably more importantly, why they do it.

In healthcare, good storytelling can result in better patient awareness, engagement, and behaviour change. However, stories are more than just facts, case studies and testimonials – they are compelling narratives that involve audiences both emotionally and intellectually.  But in an age of information overload and limited attention spans, what does good storytelling look like?

Join the PRCA Health group for a discussion on the power of storytelling in healthcare, featuring an excellent panel of guest speakers, featuring:

  • Russell Goldsmith, Founder, Audere Communications, and Zuleika Burnett, Executive Creative Director at Havas Life Medicom, presenting their Cannes Lions presentation on ‘The Power of the Spoken Word’
  • Gita Mendis, Creative Services Director at ZPB Associates.  Gita is a former health journalist and was also launch editor of NHS Choices
  • Charlie De Mierre, Strategic Creative Director, Porter Novelli

This event is worth 15 points in the PRCA CPD Programme.
