PRCA Education Group event: Leadership in education

The PRCA Education Group is delighted to welcome General Secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), Geoff Barton, to discuss leadership in education on Monday 09^th December at 18:00. Kindly hosted by PRCA member, Connect.

ASCL is the leading professional association and trade union for all school and college leaders,  representing over 19,000 school and college leaders of primary, secondary and post-16 education from across the UK.  Its members are responsible for the education of more than four million young people and children.

Geoff is a celebrated English teacher, former headteacher and has worked as a consultant with the Department for Education on leadership and literacy issues, the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority and the Training and Development Agency for Schools, as well as contributing to Cambridge University’s initial teacher training programme.

He is also a Founding Fellow of the English Association, Patron of the English & Media Centre and ‘Leading Thinker’ for the National Education Trust.  Geoff is considered to be an authoritative voice in the education and will talk to members about his experience across the sector before taking questions.
