Summary:

New remote working presents new challenges. We may now be expected to deliver a webinar or to present to clients and colleagues or take part in a panel discussion or pitch. We are certainly attending and perhaps running meetings. All online.

For many this is not their natural habitat. People who struggle with confidence and presence in the real world are finding it even harder to make an impact, exude gravitas and get their voice in the ‘room’. The solution is to acquire a new set of tools and techniques.

Just as tennis players adapt their game for each surface, so we need to finesse our face to face communication style for the virtual world. Normal rules don’t apply.
