In our second event, the Emerging Markets Group is delighted to team up with Women in Public Affairs (WiPA) to discuss the fascinating life and career of H.E. Sophie Katsarava, Georgia’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Before taking up her role as Ambassador this year, H.E. has had over 17 years experience working in PR and PA, before entering the Georgian parliament in 2016.
Having worked as a press and public relations project manager at World Wildlife Fund from 1997 to 2004, Katsarava joined the British Embassy in Tbilisi in 2005, where her roles included Project Manager, Head of Press and Public Relations, and ultimately Political Secretary. In 2016, Katsarava was awarded an MBE), in recognition of her outstanding contribution to strengthening relations between Georgia and the United Kingdom in the education sector.
In this lunchtime conversation, H.E. will discuss her career, the challenges she has faced, and her transition into politics.
