Summary:

The best form of Crisis PR is to prevent a PR Crisis from happening at all, which should be your first thought when one looms. If there has been an explosion at your factory or a huge data breach then this will not be possible. But at least the media should be dissuaded from reporting the problem as worse than it is. This seminar teaches what can be done both to prevent and control PR crises by deploying the various regulatory and legal tools available based on Jonathan’s extensive experience as an editorial and PR lawyer. It has been enjoyed by audiences ranging from supermarket chains, PR agencies, charities, multinationals, F1 teams and the cast of Eastenders. Jonathan recently delivered the seminar to Cherie Blair QC’s Omnia Strategy which said this: “A true insider’s view of the intersection of media, freedom of speech and privacy”; as he did to Babel PR who said this; “Jonathan delivered a brilliant virtual crisis PR seminar

Event Overview

Attendees will learn:

  • How the key editorial decisions are made;
  • Who makes them;
  • The key regulatory and legal protections against false reporting;
  • How best to deploy those protections;
  • How to use the “Golden Hour” to prevent PR crises happening at all;
  • How thereby to improve your crisis PR offering and make it easier to market.

This PRCA workshop will give a unique insight into the editorial process that will determine either if there is going to be a PR crisis at all, or if so how serious it will be; and will teach you how best to influence that editorial process to do a better job for your clients. It will teach you what can be done before, during and after a PR crisis to reduce its impact to a minimum. It will be both informative and entertaining, and will be illustrated by case studies made up of Jonathan’s own crisis PR work over a period of more than 25 years. Here is Jonathan’s website where you will learn more about his work: https://www.jonathancoad.co.uk/.
