PRCA Charities & Not For Profit Group

Event Type: Group Event

Event Overview

Charities and not for profit campaigners are facing up to a long-term battle to fight misinformation. From climate change and vaccine myths to the rising threats of conspiracy theorists, "deep fake" and "astroturfing." It is likely that the struggle against misinformation will define the next ten years as charity communicators.

Join us for a discussion about what organisations are doing to battle misinformation, the threats campaigners are facing and the skills needed to fight the problem.

The panel will include:
- Ed Procter, CEO of IMPRESS – independent press regulator
Grace Rahman, Online Fact-Checking Lead at Full Fact
- Rob Dawson, Director of Communications, Advocacy and Support at Meningitis Research Foundation and Chair of STEMPRA

The event will be convened by Simon Francis, Chair of the PRCA Charity & Not For Profit Group and Founder Member of Campaign Collective.

Non-PRCA Members can sign up here: https://forms.gle/8uea4AJDfQyBfET49
