About Rachel
Entrepreneur, Mentor, Momentum Creator
Rachel is a serial entrepreneur having started seven multi-award-winning professional services businesses, across the marketing spectrum – the most notable being Shine Communications (now The Academy Media Group, of which she is Chair), John Doe Group and Mischief PR (now part of Engine Group). Her philosophy of promoting and developing talent has won her industry recognition including Sunday Times Best Leader. She is a serial NED and chairs CIS, her late father’s engineering business.
Best practice business management has always been a passion point and her agencies unique approach to company planning and highly entrepreneurial divisional business planning has enabled her to leave a legacy of leadership that spans the comms industry.
More recently Rachel has created a growth consultancy – Brand Spanking – which supports early-stage businesses in establishing best practice and helps founders unleash their potential.
Rachel is an Entrepreneur in Residence at London Business School. She is also President of the Business School's Angel Investment Club – Enterprise 100.
