Aimed at practitioners moving to strategic roles, with the responsibility of delivering effective campaigns for clients, and the professional development of their colleagues and staff

 

Learning Objectives
Learners  will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and planning. This will be presented in a portfolio of evidence.

Training
Training will comprise of a set of core units and a set of optional units. Selected units must total 280 points, with full day classroom courses worth 40 points, half days 20 points, and webinars 10 points.

Core units (250 Points):

  • Ethics in PR and Communications
  • Project Management
  • Budget Management
  • Account Management
  • Honing Your Copywriting Skills
  • Crisis Communication Management
  • Developing a Digital Strategy

Optional units – 30 points from a curated collection

Length of Study: 

Learners have up to 2 years to complete their training.

Assessment: 

To complete the learning objectives, learners will produce a portfolio of evidence throughout their formal training, culminating in a strategic proposal. The aim is to not only develop further as an effective PR practitioner, but come away with a plan that could be implemented. This portfolio will contain:

  • Personal review
  • Organisational chart
  • Organisational SWOT
  • Final strategic communications plan (including social media, traditional media)
