This entry level qualification is for those at the start of their career in PR who are looking to fast track their development. You will be introduced to a wide range of established PR and communication methods and tactics for a junior PR role.
Learners will be able to demonstrate an understanding of PR in context, writing skills, and creative thinking. This will be presented in a portfolio of evidence.
Training will comprise of a set of core units and a set of optional units. Selected units must total 150 points, with full day classroom courses worth 40 points, and webinars worth 10 points.

- Ethics in PR and Communications
- Introduction to PR/Planning a Strategic PR Campaign
- Building Effective Persuading and Influencing Skills
- How to Manage Your Time and Workload More Effectively
- Good Media Relations

To complete the learning objectives, learners will produce a portfolio of self-development throughout their formal training, culminating in a final written piece. The aim is to showcase development as an effective PR practitioner. This portfolio will contain:
- Personal review
- Training analysis
- Final written piece (an article or blog)
On completion learners will receive a signed certificate and be entitled to use designatory letters FCert PRCA in recognition of their achievement.
