The art of storytelling has long connected the storyteller and their audience. Today, technology is shaping how we tell those stories and express our thoughts – where rather than showing data, we’re telling stories with it.

In this London-based event, delineate explores the growing shift towards data-led strategies within the PR and communications sector. One such agency, Citypress, will discuss its move towards adopting a more insight-led approach, and delineate will introduce you to bertie – our AI-powered data intelligence product.

Our Cut to the Chase events are aimed at PR, Communications and Marketing professionals, and designed to be short and sweet, with breakfast followed by three insightful presentations:

Session 1: ‘Storytelling with data – fusing the best of both for killer content’

Presented by James (JT) Turner, Founder & CEO of delineate this session will talk about using story frameworks to understand the types of data analysis required to unearth great insights. JT will cover:

  • How to use the challenge / struggle / resolution framework to build a data led story
  • Examples of great insights that have led to successful campaigns

Session 2: ‘The move towards data – why Citypress is increasingly data led in our approach’

Presented by Eze Klass, Research Account Director at Citypress, this session will examine why it’s important for PR and communications professionals to use data and insight, by looking at:

  • How the role of data and insight has changed over time within Citypress, and the wider communications sector;
  • The key challenges for Citypress in transitioning to a more data-led approach;
  • The future outlook – where Citypress sees the communications sector evolving over the next few years.

Session 3: ‘Meet bertie – the first B2B audience planning tool’

Join Ben Leet, delineate’s Chief Customer Officer, as he discusses why the business decided to take on a near-impossible challenge. Explore the journey to creating bertie as Ben presents:

  • The complexity and nuance of building a B2B planning tool
  • How bertie works in practice
  • bertie in real-world B2B applications: how clients can win more pitches and develop better campaigns with an insight-led approach
