Additionally, we will be shining a light on the positive impact of public affairs on business and society and discussing the industry's strengths in the current political climate.
This conference offers public affairs professionals across sectors the opportunity to network and learn about best practice approaches. Speakers from a broad variety of in-house teams, consultancies and NGOs will share their perspective and insights on the latest industry trends.
This year, PRCA invites the industry’s most senior leaders in public affairs to discuss and debate how to lead the right conversations in 2023 with your stakeholders around reputation, brand and influencing. Session descriptions:
Political Point scoring and Net Zero
The green agenda has become at the forefront of political parties’ strategies for winning votes and has played a crucial role in recent by elections. As the General Election approaches political parties have drawn lines in the sand, and have set out their policies and proposals on how best to tackle climate change. With accusations of green-washing prevalent, what does the future hold for politics and the green agenda? Will we fail to meet our net zero targets by 2050, or will the goalposts simply shift?
Chris Pratt, Managing Director, Better Impact, H+K Strategies (Moderator)
Bob Ward, Policy and Communications Director, Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy, London School of Economics and Political Science
