PR Pioneers 50 - Tim Bell

To coincide with our 50th year anniversary, The PRCA is leading a new initiative to help recognise and celebrate the practitioners who have shaped, changed, and redefined the PR and communications industry over the last 50 years. Launched as part of a year-long campaign to celebrate 50 years of the PRCA, PR Pioneers 50 will highlight the actions and achievements of 50 groundbreaking practitioners who, over the last 50 years, actively drove PR and communications forward. Today's profile is below...

Lord Tim Bell

Founder of Bell Pottinger and confidante to Magaret Thatcher, the late Lord Tim Bell was as infamous as he was influential.

Read Francis Ingham's comments on his recent passing here: "Of all those who can be said to have made the modern PR and communications industry, Tim Bell stood preeminent, an undisputed giant who proved the power of communication. Nobody can question he was controversial, and indeed he delighted in being so. But nobody can question his greatness either."
