The changing face of communications, the evolution of the media landscape and future trends set to further influence professional PR practice will be on the agenda at the Midlands PR Conference, jointly staged by CIPR and PRCA Midlands and hosted by Birmingham City University.

This headline event will bring together comms professionals from across all sectors, inhouse and consultancy and will include keynote speakers, practical simulation workshops and panel debates covering content marketing, creative skills, crisis management, technology trends, internal communications, ethics, B2B comms and speed networking lunch.

The exciting speakers confirmed to date include:
Joe Godwin: Director of BBC Midlands and the BBC Academy 
Claire Walker FPRCA: Founder of Firefly Communications and Chair of PRCA Professional Practices Committee
Francis Thomas: Head of Corporate Affairs, West Midlands Trains
Helen Bisset & Hannah Thorsby: H&H Communications
Kate Hartley MPRCA: Polpeo
Further speakers from Slimming World, McDonalds, the Content Marketing Association and BCU Industry reports.

The morning conference sessions will focus on how the changing PR landscape is influencing the next generation of talent and skills whilst the afternoon session will focus on insight from senior practitioners shaping comms strategy across a diverse range of audiences and channels.

Bridging the two sessions will be a ‘Meet the professionals’ speed networking lunch providing a great opportunity for young talent and established practitioners to connect.

The conference will conclude at 5.30pm with an evening drinks reception followed by CIPR Midlands AGM at 6.30pm. CIPR members wishing to attend the free AGM should also register separately for this event here.

PR professionals from all sectors are welcome to attend the Midlands PR Conference, with a reduced ticket price available to CIPR and PRCA members. An Early Bird ticket rate is available until 18th March, together with the option with a morning or afternoon only option ticket for those unable to attend for a full day.
