Event Overview

NextGen London: How to make it in Internal Communications

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the workplace and led to massive shifts in the way that communications have been practised across all industries and sectors.

In particular, it has changed both how businesses operate, and employees' expectations, with people increasingly choosing to work more from home, and for companies whose purpose and values align with their own.

As a result, businesses need brilliant internal communications teams to deliver strong, authentic communications and help to build company culture, strengthen brand identity and values, and increase performance and productivity.

If you're interested in a career in internal communications and employee engagement, join us for a discussion with a panel of industry experts, and pick up some tips to help your own career progress.

Speaker:

Billy Dunbar - Billy has worked in a number of Internal and Change Communication roles at companies including Accenture, GSK and Upfield, and is currently the Digitalisation Communications Lead at Subsea 7. Passionate about modernising how companies work, think and behave, Billy enjoys trawling through employee data and creating bold campaigns that cut through the noise.

Lilia Bednarek - Lilia has worked for the last two decades around the world in both internal and external communications roles, in-house and for agencies.

Most recently as Global Head of People Communications at GKN Automotive and previously in roles at Nissan, Ketchum and in Australian politics.

Lilia has seen first-hand how the manufacturing sector over the last 18 months has had its own unique challenges and opportunities ensuring employees are informed and engaged wherever they are based - from offices to factory floors.
