Trainer: Judi Goodwin

Trainer and Writing Coach Judi Goodwin specialises in helping people to access their creativity and has taught thousands of people to write fluently and with impact. She combines a wealth of experience in journalism with a whole-person approach enabling participants to overcome their personal barriers.

She began her career in PR and advertising but when she made the transition to journalism more than 30 years ago, she initially battled with writer’s block. Always fascinated by how the mind works, she researched the psychology of writing to overcome her own difficulties.  Now she passes on these techniques in her inspirational workshops.

Previous students include journalist members of the NUJ, financial wizards at The Bank of England, life-term prisoners at HM Prison Styal and people with mental health challenges. Her workshops build confidence and self-discovery – and she believes people learn best when they’re having fun!

Testimonials

It was incredibly engaging and fun without being too in your face or awkward.  Also, the small number in the group was perfect, making interactions more meaningful.

I also thought the content was paced just right.  It wasn't rushed at all, it wasn't information overload in one go, it was easily digestible."

Gayle Alexander, Queens University Belfast

Loved the practical examples, and found that I was inspired to be bolder with my writing choices. “

William Paxton, Higgison Strategy

“It helped me to realise I am more creative than I thought. Also, encouraged me to write more often.”

Raquel Cruz, Finn Partners
